Mission Statement

 

The mission of St. Francis House is to provide a means of addressing the diverse, critical needs of the underserved, which are not adequately addressed by others in the community.

St. Francis House Ministries

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Social Services Social services have always been a fundamental and essential portion of the work done at St. Francis House's Elm Street location.  These services are an immediate material response to emergency situations created by loss of employment and no income, low or fixed income, chronic or sudden illness, lack of health insurance and the high cost of medicine and utilities.
