 Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.  O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

The mission of St. Francis House is to provide a means of addressing the diverse, critical needs of the underserved, which are not adequately addressed by others in the community.

St. Francis House Christmas Basket

Packing & Delivery December 22 & 23

Tuesday, December 22 from 8:30 am-3:00 pm, volunteers are needed to help pack and hand out baskets to those who can come to St. Francis House. Wednesday, December 23 from 8 am-noon, volunteers are needed to help assemble the baskets to be delivered to those who can’t make it to St. Francis House. During this annual event we will prepare and deliver 900 gift baskets to the needy in our community. Please contact Luke Gilbert (225.4203) if you can help.

   There will be a number of very happy young girls this Christmas thanks to the generosity and thoughtfulness of St. Mark’s parishioner Philip Sherwin owner of the Shoe Connection.  Philip and his supplier, Aldabella Scarpa, donated 50 pairs of girls shoes to St. Francis House for Christmas, and the program will continue.  Philip and Aldabella Scarpa will give St. Francis House one pair of shoes for each pair they sell.  Thank you, Philip for remembering St. Francis House.
